Starting November 2011, the Benteler Group’s Purchasing Activities will be steered centrally by new founded Benteler Global Procurement GmbH

 

Due to the increasing importance of Purchasing within the expansion of our global activities we decided to reorganize our purchasing activities towards a more centrally driven Purchasing department based on a global commodity structure. The resulting changes will affect all our German companies (Benteler Automobiltechnik GmbH, Benteler Tube Management GmbH, and Benteler Distribution International GmbH as well as their subsidiaries).

 

Already having been implemented step by step during the last months, the new purchasing structure is effective since November 1, 2011 via the newly founded Benteler Global Procurement GmbH based in Paderborn, Germany. As all purchasing personnel of Benteler Automobiltechnik GmbH and Benteler Tube Management GmbH has been transferred to this new company, their separate purchasing departments ceased to exist. However, the purchasing departments of the companies abroad will continue to act in the name and for the account of the respective companies.

 

The Benteler Global Procurement GmbH has been generally authorized to act as your sole negotiating and contracting partner on behalf of the companies of the Benteler Group. At the conclusion of contracts, the German companies of the Benteler Group will be represented by the Benteler Global Procurement GmbH on principle. The Benteler Global Procurement GmbH will purchase in the name and for the account of the companies but can also be the contracting party in particular cases.

 

All existing contracts between our suppliers and a company of the Benteler Group remain effective, and the familiar contact persons do not change either.

 

Concerning the Division Benteler Distribution, the purchasing of consumables will henceforth be coordinated by the Benteler Global Procurement GmbH whereas the purchasing of tubes i. e. series materials remains within the sole responsibility of this Division.
